"Now I mean this, that each of you says, I am of Paul, and I of Apollos, and I of Cephas, and I of Christ. Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized into the name of Paul?"
1 Corinthians 1:12-13
"For even as the body is one and has many members, yet all the members of the body,
being many, are one body, so also is the Christ."
1 Corinthians 12:12
"But you, do not be called Rabbi, for One is your Teacher, and you are all brothers.
And do not call anyone on earth your father, for One is your Father, He who is in the heavens.
Neither be called instructors, because One is your Instructor, the Christ."
Matthew 23:8-10
What does the Bible say about Christian unity? How can Christians be in real oneness (unity) ?
Today the Lord Jesus is calling all Deaf Christians to give up different church names and divisions for purpose of oneness (unity). He wants one church in each city. What for? to express His testimony to the world. But sad today there are too many divisions in the Body of Christ. That means Jesus Christ cannot have a proper testimony for His riches to the world.
Satan laughs at Christians today because they are divided into many different churches with many different names. Jesus wants to remove all the different names and only His name is glorified in the church.
How can we Christians be oneness (unity)? What does the Bible tell us? This video below gives us the answer. However, to obey Jesus' calling we must be willing to give up many things. We must give up our personal preferences so we can be oneness with one another. We must give up different names of denominations (named churches). We must give up our own way and our own ideas and follow the clear model of the church shown in the New Testament.
Also all Deaf pastors need to give-up (not use anymore) title/name "Pastor", "Reverend" or "Evangelist" etc and just become a brother in the church (read Matthew 23:8-10). For example; stop call yourself "Reverend Brown", or "Pastor Smith", or "Evangelist Jones", instead just call yourself "brother John", "brother Michael", or "brother Gary". Also don't let other Christians call you "Pastor" or "Reverend" instead encourage them to just call you a brother same as them. We are ALL brothers equal and we are all members of Christ's Body. This is not easy but it is possible by the grace of God. Only Jesus Christ is our Pastor and Reverend. He is the Head of the church, no one else. Hallelujah!
